Say Yes to Safe and Secure Banking

We are living in the technological era, where we can't imagine our life without latest technology. In all the new things, IT plays a vital role in day to day work. We can experience the presence of IT environment everywhere in our life. Information Technology has brought the great revolution in the financial and economic sector; those days are gone when we needed to carry cash all the time. However, very often every good thing has some adverse impact too and we need to be more careful and alert so that we can avoid the harm and enjoy the benefits. While using these technologies we face the huge challenge in the banking sector. We all understand and know the importance of money in our lives and should work to keep it safe.
In this changing scenario, it is important that an organization and customer both must be tech-savvy as well as alert too. In this context, State Bank of India is very up to date. It not only offers us various facilities, but also It puts efforts to increase awareness in customers to ensure safe usage of I.T.
Cases of ATM fraud, Fake Banking Calls, and ATM cloning are very common nowadays. Only awareness can save us from becoming a victim of these type of crimes and here again SBI proves its efficiency. SBI's awareness drive helps us a lot, we should not ignore the things which our bank wants to tell us. We must be alert and smart while using smart means of banking. Here are some points we need to know and follow.
It has been taught to us that sharing is caring. But it is not true all the time. We should never share our OTP, Card Number, CVV, ATM PIN, Password and answers of general questions, like "Your first mobile number”, “Your first School name", which we set as the security question for resetting our password. The second thing that we should keep in our mind is related to using Debit Card; We should change our ATM PIN on regular basis and should keep it a little complex. Try to avoid your DOB as ATM PIN. And make it sure that your card is always swiped in your presence.
Nowadays we do our most of transactions through the Internet; we use either Internet banking or online transaction. While using these facilities use your private network and try to avoid public Wi-Fi. One more thing, never access your Internet Banking account on anyone else's computer/Laptop/Mobile. If it is necessary to access then always use the virtual keyboard and log out properly.
Last but not the least; Banks never call us to know sensitive information about our account and card. So next time when you get such calls do not answer their questions.
